I attended a funeral today and was again reminded that Loss is part of our everyday life. People were crying, and telling stories about their loved one. They were starting the Grieving process so that they can move on with life. When we experience a loss it is good to let your emotions out. Some of us yell and cuss while others cry and mourn. It is beneficial and natural to face your feelings and express them. If you don’t they will build within you and creep out at various times. Sometimes in Anger, sometimes Depression or sadness. They will come out somehow.
One thing I have noticed is that we don’t grieve the loss of our Dreams very well. It is just as important to grieve when one of our dreams dies. That may be a dream for your marriage, a dream for your children, or a dream for your career. Often life takes twists and turns that Shatter our Dreams and it is good to cry or yell or just let go so that you can move on to the next Dream.
